Merry Christmas to ALL!!
Although the hustle and bustle of the season is stressful, I absolutely love this time of year. Dinner with friends, family time, Christmas music, Christmas decorations, Christmas cards, and presents make this time of year the best. But let us not forget while we celebrate this day, the Birth of our Saviour. I hope each and everyone of you have a joyous holiday and safe travels!

1 of my favorite parts of Christmas
I have so many reasons why I LOVE this time of year. But checking the mail everyday and getting Christmas cards is one of my favorites. I love to see families grow each year and see their smiling faces! Well I have been on the look out for a cute Christmas card holder and I have failed! So I found one at pottery barn that was 200.00 and was NOT paying that so I made my own.
This is the Pottery Barn one.
This is the one I made for $26 bucks!!
I can't wait to add more cards to it as Christmas gets closer!!
Hope you all are ready for Christmas and remember in all the hustle and bustle that
JESUS is the REASON for the SEASON!

Beach Pictures
As you can see our picture had changed on our page. It went from a beach picture this summer at our good friends, Candi and Ben's wedding, to another beach picture from our Thanksgiving trip. I guess consistency is good??!!
Our family had "professional" pictures taken while we were at the beach. My mom had been wanting to get a picture of all of us since the boys have been born. I think this would have been easier at a younger age!! ha! ha! They had so much fun though. If you notice Guy has a stick in his hand in every picture...He was NOT putting it down. Anyways, ENJOY!

Non-Traditional Thanksgiving
Well my family decided to celebrate Thanksgiving a little different this year. My parents came up with the idea to rent a house in Gulf Shores and head to the beach for Thanksgiving. Of course, we all jumped at a paid trip to the beach!!
Our house!
Five bedrooms and three baths, deck, pool, and beach front. What more could you ask for?
Playing in the sand
Kline "digs" the beach
Running into the ocean
He doesn't mind the water getting in his face!
Guy didn't care much for the water. But I can't blame him...it was a lil cool!

Gran and Pops with the Grands
I love this picture!
We all think that Guy looks just like my Dad:)
We did have a traditional Thanksgiving meal complete with turkey, dressing, casseroles, and pumpkin cheesecake!!
These were our turkey cookers, so they got the wishbone.
I don't think I have to tell you who got the larger piece! And Mom gets to make a wish!
My Aunt that lives in Naples, FL also came to visit us. (How did I forget to take pictures?!)She drove 10 hours to come and we were all so glad that she was able to come and stay a couple of nights. As HOGS fans, we were all very excited about the outcome of the Ark/LSU game! My family is talking about making this a new tradition...Who knows?! We had pictures taken while we were there so I will post those soon.
Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Stepping up for Ouachita
My mother in law chaired a luncheon for Ouachita Baptist University on November 4. It was held at Chenal Country Club and everything was beautiful. This was the first year for the event and it is held to raise money for the women of Ouachita.
As you can see, it was a packed house!
(I wish I would have gotten an picture before everyone sat down:( The tables were gorgeous)
Chair for the Inaugural Stepping up for Ouachita Luncheon!!
Miss Arkansas was at the event to support OBU!
If you attended OBU or know someone who did you should check into attending this great event next year. I was so proud of my MIL! She did such an amazing job helping raise money for young women to continue their education in a Christian atmosphere.
OwlFest 5K
So I have been MIA and not been blogging but I am back!! This cooler weather will keep me indoors and maybe I will keep my blog updated a little better.
We (or should I say my SIL) did a 5K back home with the twins. She pushed them the entire 3.1 miles and won her division!! Now that's what I call a SUPER MOMMY!!

Of course, I just love this red headed baby:)
Courtney and I both won our divisions and got a free t-shirt!! Whoo Hoo!! This probably had nothing to do with the low attendance!! LOL! But it was a lot of fun and we plan to do it again next year.
