Lake Time

Stephen and I spent this past weekend at the lake with my brother and his family. They have twins that are 14 months old* and it was their first time on the lake. We love and enjoy spending all the time we can with Nick, Courtney, and the boys, but not living in the same town sometimes makes it challenging.
*Beware: the twins may take over the blog:)

Kline, Mommy, and Guy all geared-up and ready to go.

Aren't they just the cutest lil family??  I think so:)

Graduation X 2

So I promised that I would blog about this and sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to it. My Dad and I both graduated from CARTI within nine days of each other. But for two different reasons!
This is my Dad and I on the dad he graduated, which was such an accomplishment for our whole family.

And my Dad at his last treatment. He had planned to run his first 5K after two weeks into treatment, but was not up to it. So we made him a "finish line" for his last treatment!

My Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April and finished radiation treatments August 9. At the time of diagnosis, cancer is such a scary word. I know that God has a reason for everything and I truly believe that he put me in this field to prepare me and my family for the future.
This is my entire family on the day that I graduated from CARTI. I am now a proud Radiation Therapist!
I am so excited that I can be someone to make a difference in a person's life. I know that my Dad loved everyone that was apart of his treatment team and still talks about how he misses them.
Stephen's family has been so supportive throughout school and I am so thankful to have them in my life. Stephen's grandfather, Papa(pictured above), and grandmother were both patients at CARTI. Papa, like my dad, still talks about his therapist too. This makes me so happy and I can't wait for the day that I make such an impact in a patient's life.

And this is the happiest man! I don't know if he is more happy that I will be having a paycheck again or that I don't have to study:) Thanks for all you have done over this past year babe! I couldn't have made it without your patience and encouraging words!

And this begins tomorrow as I start at CARTI as a Radiation Therapist:)

My First Post

Well, I have been wanting to do this for a longtime and finally I have bitten the bullet! I enjoy reading about everyone elses lives and my husband sometimes seems to think I am obsessed, but the bloggin world is just interesting. So here I am to join in on the fun!
This is my hubs and I on our recent trip to Vegas.
He surprised me for graduation and we went out there with friends and spent a long weekend, which was enough of the fast paced world out there:)

The whole crew!
They also surprised me, because I thought it was just Stephen and I going on this trip. We had a great time!

I just graduated from Radiation Therapy school and I am studying for my boards this week so I will be occupied this week, hopefully. I will do a post on graduation later. I know this is kind of back-tracking but I have a reason. Hope you all have a great week and welcome to our blog!
